The material for the floor pads ‘Wecoline pads by Americo’ consists of recycled PET bottles. The production of a box of five pads requires twelve 2-litre bottles that are melted down and processed to make loose fibres. The colouring and the manufacturing of the pads is done with water-based dyes and resins. This makes the pad a definite ‘green’ supplement to Wecovi’s Wecoline range. Wecovi offers a complete range of cleaning materials. Early this year, it invested in a new production line for the manufacturing of the Wecoline pads by Americo.
Durable service by Novon
Novon is the first professional cleaning service in Nederland opting for ‘Wecoline pads by Americo’, or for an eco-pad at all. About eight hundred cleaners work for this company on a daily basis. Novon’s Managing Director Elbert Jan Hesse: “In this sector, you cannot avoid environmentally unfriendly activities. Eco-label more and more important for customers Ewepo
Wecovi sells ‘Wecoline pads by Americo’ via wholesalers Ewepo, a complete supplier of cleaning systems: machines, materials and cleaning agents. It happens more and more that Ewepo customers specifically ask for eco-label products, says Managing Director. “People become more aware of the technological possibilities to work in an environmentally safe manner. These floor pads fit in well with that. The floor pad is on a par with other quality pads but its big plus is the recycled raw material”.
Wecovi produces the unique pad
Wecovi’s Marketing and Sales Director Derik Landman predicts that ‘Wecoline pads by Americo’, thanks also to cooperation with companies such as Novon and Ewepo will conquer the Netherlands. “I am sure about that. At all cleaning agencies we talk to about the pads, we meet with great interest. Wecovi, Ewepo and Novon are forerunners in the field of more durable use of raw materials for floor pads. By joining our forces, we hope that with these three companies we can carry on fulfilling our present role as pioneer.
